Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown F Bro
Dan Brown weaves bits and pieces of history and other publications into a mystery. Robert Langdon, a Harvard symbologist, and Sophie Neveu, the murder victim's granddaughter, find clues hidden in Da Vinci's works and discover a centuries-old secret society. I really enjoyed the story but did not agree with Mr. Brown's premise. All in all a very good read.
Son of the Mob by Gordon Korman F Kor
An easy read, I found the characters to be funny and likeable. It has a Romeo and Juliet type theme. Good for a few chuckles.
Leslie's Journal by Allan Stratton F Str
I would recommend this book, because it shows a lot about relationships and the truth behind them.
Five People You Meet in Heaven F Alb
The book was really awesome. The different people in this book were very influential and I loved how the author put one question through for the whole book and nicely ended it in the end.
Midnight Predator F Atw
The book was good because there were a lot of twists and you couldn't figure out what was going to happen next.
Bastard out of Carolina by Dorothy Cavedweller F Cav
A very touching book narrated by a 10-year old girl who is abused sexually, physically and emotionally by her step-father. A stunning book of courage and growing up.
Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks F Bro
This book opens with a description of apple season in the mountains. It was so well written, I continued reading. Before the end I felt as though the plague (the basis of the book) had actually touched my own life. Geraldine Brooks re-created the seventeenth-century horror beautifully.
