Syllabus - 2009-10

Language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing

 Listed below are some examples of what we will be doing for each language skill:

 Listening: Everyday participation/language practice, respond to commands, listen to stories and songs, listen to others read

Speaking: Speak only in Spanish, daily oral practice, converse with others, story retells in class and at home, sing songs, discuss literature

Reading: Mini-stories, realia, novels, prose, poetry: By reading classical and contemporary selections, students will learn about various cultural, geographical, political and historical aspects of Spain and Latin America.

Writing: Freewrites, compositions/essays, various homework assignments
