Science Honor Society



About The Society:

The Science Honor Society is designed to enhance scientific literacy in those students who have demonstrated science excellence and wish to continue in a science related field.

The society will serve as a platform for students to demonstrate their achievements by researching and writing papers for scholarship competitions.

Although this is not a requirement of the society, it is highly suggested that the members pursue scholastic competitions on the local, regional and national levels.




Qualifications for Candidacy:

Applicant must be presently enrolled in their 4th or more full-year science course in September of the year that they apply.

They must have a science GPA of 3.8 as a result of grades in any 3 (or more) of the following courses:

Throughout the year science honor society members are required to maintain high academic
achievement in science, and provide science tutoring, attend scientific lectures or the like,
or conduct independent research.
