Journalism

Timberlane Regional High School

Journalism

Journalism is designed to provide the students with

a solid background in the historical, legal and ethical

aspects of journalism. Students will learn to

write a variety of newspaper and magazine articles,

conduct interviews, and learn editing techniques.

The student will write stories with the goal of publishing

their work in the school paper, and/or area

periodicals. In addition, students will learn about Old Time Radio and get to create their own radio podcasts.  Students will also delve into the world of broadcast journalism and create newscasts.  Journalism is both a club and a class.  In the class, students may contract for accelerated

credit.
